The Charm of a Bamboo Coffee Table

Coffee tables are usually short, long tables that give off an air of intimacy between or among those who use them. They are relatively similar in style with each other and can be made from many different materials. The variety of materials includes a bamboo coffee table, a wicker coffee table, wooden tables, metal tables or any combination of the stated materials with glass tops. There are also other materials that can be used to make coffee tables other than those stated above.

These kinds of tables are usually designed to be placed in front of a couch (mostly low also in stature to match the table). These are commonly placed in the living area or a sitting room where people usually gather or entertain. Most coffee tables are designed with a flat surface. This surface usually holds coffee table books and other small items including beverage cups and coasters as well as small plates for dessert or coffee cakes.

Bamboo Coffee Table Designs

A bamboo coffee table can be very versatile in design since bamboo is a versatile medium for furniture. Some bamboo coffee table designs include those made from bamboo plywood, which is a flat wooden material of compressed or flattened bamboo. This kind of bamboo coffee table has the advantage of having a flat table top compared to other bamboo coffee table designs that utilize slats of raw bamboo which are stuck together. Although, these kinds of bamboo coffee table designs have an uneven table top, their rawness can be so natural to behold. Other bamboo coffee table designs have the table frame made from bamboo tubes, including the legs, but the table top can be glass.

Bamboo also comes in a variety of textures and colors. A bamboo coffee table can be made from the giant bamboo variety or any other smaller variety. Some bamboo plants also have different shades of color which include light cream to a deeper cream. Although, bamboo usually starts out as green or yellow, they eventually change to a light creamy color when they are harvested. Bamboo can be painted depending on the preference of the owner but their natural color lends a natural feel to any room or area.

A bamboo coffee table and any other furniture made from bamboo are sturdier if it they are made from the mature stalks compared to the younger ones. Mature ones are also larger in dimensions than younger stalks. The cost of harvesting and manufacturing bamboo wood products is invariably less than several other kinds of wood which makes them cheaper and also more economical.
